As some of you may know, Michelle teaches clarinet at Radford University - and she is putting on her first faculty recital!
But, what is a performance without making music with friends - so, of course, she had to invite Sarah and Erica to join her for the second half of the concert! :)

Join us for our second season of Alma Del Core: A Community Concert Series based in Roanoke, VA.
On our fourth and final concert of the season, Alma Ensemble is thrilled to present saxophonists Kyle Hutchins and Sheldon Johnson as guest soloists and clinicians!
This concert will feature the world premiere of 'downcast eyes' - a new work for clarinet and electronics by Kyle Hutchins, performed by Michelle Smith Johnson. This work was made possible by The Roanoke Arts Commission!
Join us for a reception following the concert to celebrate the completion of our second season and the approval of our upcoming THIRD season!
Lastly, we are partnering with 'We Are All of The Above' - and organization that promotes diversity and inclusion through community service! Come learn more about their organization! We just adore them! :)

Capture the magic of the summer season with this evocative program inspired by poetry and nature. This collection of works spans the centuries with pieces from composers familiar and possibly new. Share moments of inspiration by Valerie Coleman, Germaine Tailleferre, Gabriela Lena Frank, and more.
