Alma is spending the day with friends at Sweet Briar College for workshops, music talks, and of course, great music by women!

The Alma Ensemble presents "In Time of Summer Rain." 

Capture the magic of the summer season with this evocative program inspired by poetry and nature. This collection of works spans the centuries with pieces from composers familiar and possibly new. Share moments of inspiration by Valerie Coleman, Germaine Tailleferre, Gabriela Lena Frank, and more.

Alma Ensemble is delighted to present “In Time of Silver Rain” - a dynamic contemporary-classical chamber music concert. Join flutist Sarah Wardle Jones, clarinetist Michelle Smith Johnson, and pianist Erica Sipes as they perform exciting and expressive chamber music written by composers who were greatly influenced by poetry, art, and historical landscapes. Enjoy a curated musical experience that evokes wonder, brings hope, and offers inspiration as the seasons begin to change.

This concert is made possible by the Jewish Museum & Culture Center as well as the Virginia Commission for the Arts.

Alma Ensemble will present their most popular concert to date, “A Celebration of Dance” at Brandon Oaks. This is a private event.
